Globe and Mail article

In her July 7, 2018, Globe and Mail article about Summer’s Top Canadian Thrillers, Margaret Cannon has this to say about RM Greenaway’s crime novel, Creep– the latest in her BC Blues crime series:

“There’s a dead hiker on a trail at the Headwaters, a dead body in a crawl space under a house and a small boy bitten by a man dressed as a wolf. Talk about trouble at the full moon!. . .This is a very solid weekend-getaway book with promise of more to come.”

In the same piece, Cannon says this about Give Out Creek by JG Toews:

“… promises to be the beginning of a series featuring Nelson-based journalist Stella Mosconi. The plot is good and the setting is great. Toews has a nice eye for the details that give charm to the BC outback.”

RM Greenaway’s response:

“So great to receive the seal of approval from Margaret Cannon. I hear she’s hard to please! And to see my friend JG Toews’Give Out Creek on the same page doubled – or might I say tripled – the pleasure.”

JG Toews’ response:

“I was thrilled to receive a review from Margaret Cannon, the queen of crime fiction reviewers in Canada. What made the honour especially sweet was being in the company of my good pal Rachel Greenaway, who paved the way for me in the Arthur Ellis competition.”
